Opening Hours
The Carrick is open all year round. We welcome bookings 7 days a week (unless otherwise stated) for individual guests, business and leisure travellers, private parties and sports groups. As a courtesy to all guests, please note, The Carrick does not accept bookings from Stag/Hen or night clubbers – any rooms booked online with this purpose will not be refunded. Please call 028 7031 1800 to discuss your stay if you require any assistance planning your visit.
Deposit
To confirm a reservation a 20% deposit of the total booking is required and will be held as a guarantee – this then constitutes a legally binding contract between you and The Carrick B&B. Please note during major sporting events and Bank Holiday weekends, we may require 100% payment of your reservation as a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. Full payment will be required on arrival – we will accept payment in cash Sterling, paypal transfer or Credit card. Cheques cannot be accepted. If you wish to pay the balance via bank transfer, please process at least 5 working days in advance to clear before your arrival date.
Cancellation Policy
We understand sometimes plans change so if you need to amend or cancel a reservation please let us know by telephone or email and we will confirm back in writing. Bookings cancelled 7 days or more notice prior to arrival will be fully refunded. Bookings cancelled up to 7 days before arrival will be charged deposit fee. If a booking is cancelled less than 1 days before arrival or in the event of a no show, the full total price of the reservation will be fully charged. Please note departures earlier than scheduled are also treated as a cancellation, therefore the Cancellation Policy will apply.
Check-In / Arrival
Check in on the day of arrival is between 3pm and 9pm but we will always try to be flexible to what suits your needs. Guests are welcome to leave luggage earlier with prior notice. If you are running late, please call Scott on 07 545 303 474 to let us know.
Guest Registration
Under the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972, we are legally obliged to record the details of all guests aged over 16, including the date of arrival and departure, full name and nationality. We must also record the passport number, place of issue and next destination of guests who are not British, Irish or Commonwealth citizens. All guests aged over 16 must complete a registration form on arrival. These records will be kept for at least 12 months.
Check-Out / Departure
Rooms may be vacated up to 11.30am on the day of departure.
Parking
There is ample on street parking around the area and a small car park opposite The Carrick B&B at the train station. We are only a stones throw from Dhu Varren train stop if travelling by rail.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served daily between 7.30am-10.00am. 7.30am-10.30am on Sundays. We are always more than happy to arrange breakfast out with these times for anyone staying with us, by prior arrangement.
No Smoking Policy
By law we cannot allow smoking in any part of The Carrick House B&B and we do adhere strictly to this policy. A surcharge of £100 will be applied to room charges for anyone smoking within the house or bathrooms. Smoking is permitted at the seating area overlooking the front lawn or in the rear garden accessed via the guest lounge. The use of personal candles is strictly prohibited in rooms.
Family Policy
We have 1 family room at The Carrick B&B and are happy to accommodate children from age 5-12. Please contact us prior to booking to discuss your needs.
Pet Policy
We regret that we are unable to accept any animals staying inside The Carrick with the exception of guide dogs. We are happy to arrange local boarding with our partners in Portrush. Please call for details.
Loss / Damage / Disruption Your Health and Safety!
Guest may be required to leave card details with authorisation on arrival.
Guests will be responsible for the repair or replacement of any breakages, loss or damage caused by them to The Carrick B&B property. Guests must report any loss or damage to their own property immediately on discovery to the proprietors, and shall make themselves available to assist with any reports made by The Carrick B&B to the police. The Carrick accepts no responsibility for guests personal items lost or damaged or for personal injury or illness by guests own negligence.
The Carrick B&B reserves the right to refuse a guest entry and accommodation if, on arrival, we reasonably consider that the guest is behaving in a threatening or abusive manner or is intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
We reserve the right to require a guest to leave immediately if he/she is causing a disturbance or is behaving in an unacceptable manner towards staff, the property and/or other Guests.
We reserve the right to charge a full night’s room rate up to the maximum of £145 per night per room if unruly behaviour results in another guests complaints for night time disruption.
Non-Residents are not permitted in The Carrick unless by prior arrangement with the owner.
Disability and Accessibility
The Carrick is the perfect base to explore the beauty of Northern Ireland. Please note that all rooms are on upper floors and may be unsuitable for guests with mobility difficulties.
